OVERVIEW
Designed an interactive Advent Calendar for Garrett’s corporate intranet homepage to drive global employee engagement throughout December. Engineered within strict SharePoint design constraints, the feature invited employees to unlock a new window each business day, revealing seasonal articles, team activities, and holiday surprises across 18 days leading up to Christmas.

KEY RESULTS & IMPACT
The Advent Calendar drove continuous workweek engagement across global teams leading up to December 24th. Following its strong launch reception and positive employee feedback, leadership established the project as an annual intranet tradition.
DESIGN PROCESS
1. Research: Researched Advent calendar interaction patterns and Christmas design trends to inform the creative process.
2. Ideation & Conceptualisation: Developed concepts that aligned with the overall Garrett branding and Microsoft SharePoint design and grid constraints.
3. Design Execution: Created the Advent calendar background artwork and individual window assets in Adobe XD.
4. Feedback & Iteration: Gathered feedback from stakeholders on the initial designs and incorporated necessary revisions based on the feedback received.
5. Finalise Design: Finalised the layout of the visuals and delivered the web-ready image assets to the SharePoint developer for build integration.
6. Cross-Browser QA Testing: Tested the live SharePoint implementation across desktop and mobile browsers to ensure consistent asset rendering and performance.
