OVERVIEW
Garrett's IT team, developed the AI-based Chatbot through the ServiceNow Virtual Agent feature to automate routine tasks, provide self-service options for users, and improve the overall efficiency of service delivery within the platform.
This innovative Chatbot known as "EVA" (Enterprise Virtual Agent) empowers Garrett employees to perform self-help tasks and automate less complex processes seamlessly, from opening new incident tickets to checking pending approvals or ticket statuses, and even requesting password resets or local admin access.
OBJECTIVES
Design a visually distinctive icon for the AI-based Chatbot titled "EVA", ensuring modernity, optimized legibility, and excellent contrast for implementation across light or dark Microsoft Teams themes.

The "EVA" icon was designed using Adobe Illustrator, and has a cheerful motif optimised for legibility, even at small sizes. With its excellent contrast, it seamlessly adapts across different Microsoft Teams themes, whether light or dark.
END-TO-END DESIGN PROCESS
1. Research: Conducted reseach to understand the target audience, purpose of the chatbot, context for the chatbot icon and design trends.
2. Sketching and Ideation: Created rough sketches and iterated on the designs to refine the overall look and feel of the icon.
3. Feedback and Iteration: Gathered feedback from stakeholders and users on the initial icon designs. Iterated on the design based on the feedback received, making adjustments and refinements as necessary to improve the icon's effectiveness.
4. Testing and Validation: Tested the icon design in Microsoft Teams with different themes enabled to ensure it maintained high contrast across various platforms and screen sizes. Validated the design with users to assess its clarity and impact.
5. Finalisation and Delivery: Finalised the icon design based on feedback and testing results. Ensured that the icon aligned with the overall visual identity and branding. Delivered the finalised icon to the developer for integration into the chatbot interface.
