Improved Garrett Website search UX with prominent placement, auto-suggestions, filters, intuitive results, keyword highlighting, error handling, and accessibility, resulting in increased user engagement and higher conversion rates.
END-TO-END-DESIGN-PROCESS
1. Research and Analysis: Gathered insights to understand user behaviours, pain points and expectations regarding search.
2. Competitor Analysis: Analysed the search features of competitor websites to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
3. Design Phase: Created wireframes using Adobe XD for the new search interface with a focus on usability, accessibility, and responsiveness across different devices. Incorporated elements such as search bar placement, auto-suggestions, filtering options, and result presentation.
4. Feedback and Iteration: Gathered feedback from the product owner on the initial designs and iterated on the design to ensure alignment with project objectives.
5. Testing and Feedback: Conducted usability testing and gathered feedback from internal stakeholders and target users to identify any usability issues or areas for improvement.
6. Finalisation and Implementation: Finalised the wireframes and worked with a developer to implement the designs on the website, ensuring technical compatibility and optimisation for different devices and screen sizes.
